No. You don't need to download App to store or unlock content.
MUST READ: Anyone can use a totwoo Memory necklace with a phone with NFC.
Note: Some Androids are compatible but have NFC turned off in phone settings! So make sure your NFC enabled.

On iPhones, the sweet spot for reading a Meomory necklace is on the very top of the back of the device.

No, it is not chageable. No batteries needed.
If you want to view or let others view the content you have stored in totwoo, you don't need to open the totwoo app. Just turn on the mobile phone's NFC when the phone is connected to the lnternet, and put your totwoo against the NFC sensor area of your phone for 1-3 seconds. Tap the link that pops up, you will see the content you have stored.
